The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
