(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 so that we exalt You 33 "And remember You much, 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
