When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
