Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. 28 And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, 35 But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. 42 In the Thamud [there was another sign], when they were told, "Make the most of your lives for a while." 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
