Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 that guides to the Right Path. We believe in it and we will not associate anyone with our Lord. 2 'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 The fool among us spoke against God outrage, 4 We thought that no man or jinn could ever tell lies about God. 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone: 7 "We went near the heavens but found it to be full of strong guards and shooting flames. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 We know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct: 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 And proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that ‘Had they remained upright on the straight path, We would have given them abundant water.’ 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19
