The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
