Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 Except one who comes to eavesdrop – therefore a bright flame goes after him. 18 And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein. 19 And We have provided sustenance for you on it and also for those of whom you are not the providers. 20 Of all things there are We have the stores, and send them down in determined measure. 21 We send fertilizing winds, and then cause rain to descend from the sky, providing you abundant water to drink even though you could not have stored it up for yourselves. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
