Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 They say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
