Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 The honourable recorders. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
