And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 about what they did. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
