Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 Make my task easy 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 so that we exalt You 33 And much remember Thee. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
