Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
