The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
