And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
