No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
