Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the breath of morning 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
