Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
