Surely the fruit of the Zaqqum tree 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 among gardens and springs, 52 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They will call for every kind of fruit with satisfaction. 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59
