▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
