And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
