The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
