Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
