Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 Certainly the foolish among us say preposterous things of God. 4 We thought that no man or jinn could ever tell lies about God. 5 ‘And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.’ 6 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 We do not know whether by this arrangement God intends benefit and guidance for the people of the earth or only evil. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 And that some of us are those who submit, and some of us are the deviators; so whoever submits, these aim at the right way: 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 (Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 Mosques belong to Allah, so do not call to anyone else, other than Allah. 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19
