Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
