The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
