We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
