Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 And a large group from the latter. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 and the shadow of a smoking blaze 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 45 And they used to persist in the great violation, 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Say: 'Those of ancient times and those of later times 49 Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 and drink boiling water on top of that, 54 lapping it down like thirsty camels.' 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 We created you, then why do you believe not? 57 Just consider (the semen) that you emit, 58 did you create it or did We? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Ponder upon the soil you till, 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 [For,] were it Our will, We could indeed turn it into chaff, and you would be left to wonder [and to lament,] 65 That, “We have indeed been penalised!” 66 Rather, we have been deprived." 67 So what is your opinion regarding the water that you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
