Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
