NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
