▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
