Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
No! I swear by that you see 38 and all that you do not see, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would have seized him by his right hand, 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 and none of you could have held Us off from him. 47 And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 Surely it is a sorrow to the unbelievers; 50 This is the Truth beyond any doubt. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord Most Great. 52
God the Almighty always says the truth.
