We sent Noah to his people. He told them, "Worship God for He is your only Lord. I am afraid of the punishment that you might suffer on the great Day (of Judgment)". 59 Said the Council of his people, 'We see thee in manifest error.' 60 He said: O my people! not with me is the error, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I convey to you the messages of my Lord, give you sincere advice, and I know from Allah that which you do not know. 62 Do you wonder that admonition should come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst yourselves that he may warn you, that you may avoid evil and that mercy may be shown to you?' 63 But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. 64
