We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
