Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
