T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
