The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 Never does a new reminder come to them from Ar-Rahman but they turn away from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
