Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
