Man asks, "When I am once dead, shall I be raised to life?" 66 Remembereth not man that We created him afore when he was not aught? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. 71 Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! 75 And Allah increaseth in guidance those who let themselves be guided, and the righteous works that last are excellent with thy Lord in respect of reward and excellent in respect of return. 76 Hast thou observed him who disbelieveth in Our signs and saith: surely I shall be vouchsafed riches and children. 77 What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 We shall inherit all that he boasts of, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. 81 No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]. 82
