(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you make merry? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
