The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 Who guard their sex 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
