3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
