Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
