We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Surely God is the All-provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Ever-Sure. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
