Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble scribes, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
