Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 and raised couches, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 So do they not see the camel - how it has been created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
