And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
