The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
