The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
