The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human being 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
