The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
